Great spot in Ipoh for delicious Thai food! The Tom Yum was rich and flavorful, the crispy prawns were so good, and even the veggies were cooked perfectly. Staff are super friendly, parking is easy, and the place has a nice event space too. They also serve dim sum – I didn’t get to try it this time since I was enjoying the Thai dishes, but I’ll definitely come back for it. One of those places you shouldn’t miss when in Ipoh!

Delicious food, cozy ambience, and great service! Had a lovely dining experience here. The dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The highlight for me was the prawns with crispy golden threads – not only eye-catching but absolutely delicious! The fried rice was well-seasoned and packed with ingredients, and the iced Thai tea was rich, refreshing, and perfectly sweetened. The restaurant had a warm and inviting vibe, with charming green ceramic plates that added a nice touch to the presentation. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy authentic flavors in a pleasant setting. Will definitely be back!

Stopping over in Ipoh for a couple of days made me realise that it's in Malaysia's country (away from the very urbanised cities) that you'll find traditional gems like this. From the otherworldly Thai Milk Tea, to the Fried Dumplings, the Chicken Pandan, Spring Rolls, Pineapple Fried Rice and Pad Thai, you'll be left wondering which dish is the best from how brilliantly flavourful they are... An easy 10/10. It'd be sad for someone to visit Ipoh without trying Madam Kok x Mama Thai...

First time to Madam Kok, it was a pleasant surprise. When we first reached the restaurant, we were taken aback as it is a pork free restaurant. Apparently Madam Kok is a Malay. The food serve here are Malaysian Thai food. We decided to order a combination of Thai and Chinese food for our dinner. We ordered the Pandan Chicken, Green papaya salad, pineapple fried rice, Tofu with minced chicken and Yam basket with stir fried chicken, squid with salted egg and vegetables. The captain was friendly and told us the chef is a Malay too. The restaurant have few tables that came before us. The pineapple fried rice was first to come out. It was of decent size and smell pretty aromatic. The rice has plenty of pineapple and spiced up with tumeric powder, it is of pretty good standard. Then came the rest of the dishes. The pandan chicken only have 4 small wrapping of chicken. The captain should have told us so we can order 2 more. It is not bad in taste. The papaya salad was pleasantly delicious and appertizing. My dad really like the squid as it was crispy outside and tender inside. The yum basket was yummy too. The tofu was average. I must comment for a Malay to cook Chinese dishes of this standard, he is pretty good. The restaurant has an area where it is next to the garden and can easily host a private party for 60 people. There is a bridal shop next door, having a wedding event here is not bad of an idea given the garden setting. Given the food quality and nice atmosphere, I would recommend this place.

Today I've tried this Thai restaurant and it was such a satisfying experience! The flavours are quite authentic, especially the pineapple fried rice — fragrant, well-seasoned, and full of ingredients. The tom yam is also really good, with a nice balance of sour and spicy that makes you crave for more. Overall, a great place to fix your Thai food cravings. Highly recommended!
